I couldn't figure out how to make a fan page on facebook so I decided to try and put my cousin Hunters song one here! Hunter is 14 years old and wrote this song with her friend Kate who is singing in the background. I honestly think it is amazing. I am just hoping that when Disney hires her she will not forget all the little people that helped shape and mold her as a small child! Well we will just have to wait and see I guess! Oh yes and also I took this AMAZING photo of her! This isn't the one that we picked together for her Single but it is one that I really liked!

HARRY POTTER HARRY POTTER!

So... for my book cover assignment in Computers and Art I have decided to do Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone! WOOHOO I LOVE Harry Potter! Anyway the I decided to take pictures for the assignment cause it is a Photoshop assignment, PERFECT! Here is the beginning faze of it... well pretty much just the first shots, Angie is Hermione but obviously you can see it is a different style than the normal Harry Potter. My friend Ryan is going to be Harry and my friend Nils is going to be Ron. I am shooting them tomorrow cause I couldn't get all three of them at the same time. The process I will be using is kind of layering and masking and stuff. I want to also shoot a forest seen so it can rap around to the back of the book and have the Forbidden forest with Voldemort in it or something. WOO! I HOPE it turns out awesome!

So you know how sometimes in magazines you will see those pictures of the celebrities showing "what they are all about"? Well that is kind of the vibe that we were trying to go for here. So if Angie were a celebrity this is KIND OF what hers would looks like. She is hoping to "pick up" the guitar these days by the way she doesn't actually know how to play. She is hoping to pick it up like you pick up Spanish and stuff you know. She figures if she hangs out with enough people that play the guitar she will learn how to play. The assignment for these photos was beauty and posterization. The plain photo is just retouching, the one of her with the guitar is posterization, and the other two are a combination of the two. These ones look a lot better then the ones that I had for the critique too so I hope I get a better grade then I would have if I had turned them in then. I hope this all made sense.

Woohoo I was up until 5:00 AM doing all of these photos Monday night and I do have to fix a lot of them but at least I had them ready for the critique! Angela, my now brunette friend, was my beautiful model for this photo shoot (and all of my other ones too) and I am SO grateful for her! I think we had a lot of fun doing these and they turned out pretty good. The idea maybe a little bit better then the execution, but that can be fixed. My next photo shoot has got to be something CRAZY good!

ANGLEA... OH I JUST LOVE HER!

So.... I have had some real artistic inspiration this week! I randomly started a colored pencil drawing of someone, it will be a surprise for someone, and it is going quite well. I have had inspiration for my Harry Potter cover for Computers and Art class. Also I have had some great inspiration for my photo shoots this week and hope the photos turn out ok even though I still have a long way to go on them! Anywhoha here is one of the smart objects part of the assignment I did for photo and I think it looks pretty good. Angie is just the BEST model in the ENTIRE WORLD. She would eat Tyra Banks for BREAKY!

NEW SOUL

Whoot whoot, after countless hours of hard work I FINALLY finished my pictograms! I am quite proud of myself too because I finished them BEFORE 10:00 the day before. That is a RARE occasion for me in an art class. I am more of the day before kind of gal but I actually started and finished most of this assignment about a week ago. My biggest fear for this assignment is that my teacher will say it looks like I didn't try and I threw it all together, because this assignment I actually didn't I really did try and did not throw it together in any way. I guess we will see tomorrow. Oh and again with the weird colors... the faces are actually like a light blue and the screen on the computer is a dark blue... oh and for some odd reason the computer on the far right just completely disappeared... oh gosh and the whole pictogram on the bottom... gosh this just keeps getting worse and worse as I notice more things. Anyway the one on the right has sound waves coming out of the computer. I swear it looks a lot better then this!

BIRD IN THE HOUSE!

So I have a rough draft.... I think... for the final part of my first project. I took my teachers suggestion and took a photo of my computer and traced it. It seemed to work and add depth and a little more interest. Also it looks like I spent more time this time, cause I did. I also changed my faces, not so sure how I feel about them but we will see. So... something interesting that happened to me while I was doing this... my neighbor William came over to borrow something and casually said, "there is a bird in your house." WHAT? So I look up and sure enough there is a bird INSIDE perched on the window. I have no idea how I did not notice it cause I was literally facing it but anyway we scooted it outside, chit chatted with it for a little while, and then it went on its way. It was weird though how long he just stayed there and let us point out his cuteness almost touching his feathers and he didn't even flinch. We think he just wanted to stay and play. Regarding how weird this looks... for some reason the blog makes it weird colors and such even though it is a jpeg. Oh and yes by the way, the on icon that has the computer making the load noises is dedicated to my great friend Bre Dizzle and her computer Lucifer... without them this icon would not exist!
